Lynda Ray, MA, RN, President
Bay Area health care administration consultant, with a background in nursing administration, nursing and EMT education. Ms. Ray's work as Associate Chief of Hospital Care for the San Francisco Veteran Administration Hospital included leadership in clinical systems redesign and various roles in incident command. Ms. Ray's work history included various nursing leadership positions at Marin General Hospital.
Thomas Cromwell, MD, Vice President
Dr. Thomas Cromwell has had an interest in disaster medicine and disaster response for many years originating as a volunteer firefighter and medical consultant with the Tiburon Fire Department 35 years ago through which he participated in development of the paramedic program in Marin. Currently he chairs the Belvedere/Tiburon Joint Disaster Advisory Council and is on the board of directors of the Southern Marin Emergency Medical Paramedic System. He has been instrumental in the development of the Get Ready program, the first aid station in Tiburon’s Del Mar School, and founded the Bel/Tib Medical Reserve Corps, now a component of the MMRC. For the past decade he has been a member of a federal disaster response team, DMAT CA6, with deployments to the Superdome during Hurricane Katrina, and to the Haitian earthquake. A practicing anesthesiologist, he is currently mayor of Belvedere and sits on the Belvedere City Council.
Stuart Tanenberg, Treasurer
Stuart has been a Marin resident (Corte Madera and Larkspur) for over 40 years. He is the COO/Principal of Beressi Custom Mfg. Co. Stuart attended Dominican University of California earning a MBA with a concentration in Strategic Leadership and a BS in Business Administration and Marketing from San Jose State University. In addition, Stuart has over 30 years of Community leadership experience, having served on various Boards, Commissions and Committees. He is currently a Trustee at Marin Community College District.
Cyndi Rosen, Secretary
Cyndi Rosen moved to Marin County from Seattle, Washington. She studied Ornamental Horticulture at Mt. San Antonio College and Cal Poly Pomona. She worked while in school for social services to help deaf adults with mental and physical challenges transition from institutional living to independent living. This helped spark a desire to commit herself to community service. After school she donated her time to prevent and find solutions for erosion control in various developing countries while starting her own landscape company. Cyndi moved to Marin County to raise her two boys and one daughter. Her diverse background includes homeschooling, advocating for children with special needs, counseling women in crisis for women’s ministry, parent education, PTSA Secretary and Marin Medical Reserve Corps Foundation Secretary and Volunteer. Family comes first for Cyndi and this strong belief keeps her dedicated to her client’s needs. Cyndi isn’t afraid to fight for her clients in fact she likes a little fight. Cyndi enjoys spending time with her husband, children, many pets, gardening and bee keeping.
David clausen, director
David is an EMT in Oakland and together with his wife and two daughters resides in Larkspur. For more than a decade he has called Marin County home. He has been involved with Marin Medical Reserve Corps and RockMed since 2015. A graduate of University of Akron his career has taken him to many diverse locations and countries. He was a Vice President with Morgan Stanley for 10 years based in Ohio, Utah and California. Business opportunities moved the family to Toronto and Hong Kong affording a plethora of travel opportunities throughout Asia. Most recently, after returning from Hong Kong he decided to change careers and pursue his love of helping people and being involved in team environments. EMS has been a perfect fit and he looks forward to many years of service. An avid trail runner and mountain biker, he enjoys the many outdoor opportunities Marin has to offer.
Jamie Maites, director
Jamie Maites is a marketing professional with more than a decade of experience in hospital communications. She joined Marin General Hospital as Director of Communications in March 2010, just prior to the hospital's transfer back to local control and now acts as the Vice President of Marketing & Communications. She juggles multiple roles, tackling the organization's internal and external marketing needs, as well as public relations and community outreach. Prior to coming to Marin, Jamie worked at El Camino Hospital in Mountain View, CA, another independent hospital. During her time at El Camino Hospital she opened two hospitals, managed a multi-media marketing plan and helped to launch five service lines. Jamie earned her Bachelor of Arts from University of California Santa Cruz in Business Management.
Sylvie Zolezzi, DIRECTOR
Sylvie has been a real estate agent for the past 10 years, and is currently a luxury residential specialist with Decker Bullock Sotheby’s International Realty in Greenbrae. Sylvie previously worked as an investment and commercial banker and a human resources manager for over 15 years. Sylvie received her BA from the Université de Provence, France, her MA from Columbia University and attended business classes in the Fordham University MBA program. A French native, Sylvie moved to the United States to attend graduate school and never looked back. She is passionate about real estate, photography, gourmet cooking, hiking with her dogs and giving back to her beloved Marin County community. Disaster preparedness is high on her list of priorities to make the County a safer place to live for all.
Stephen phillips, legal consultant
Mr. Phillips is a corporate and health care regulatory partner and the chair of Hooper, Lundy & Bookman, PC's Technology Practice Group. He was selected for Nightingale’s Healthcare News‘ list of Outstanding Healthcare IT Lawyers. Prior to joining the firm in September 2006, he was the General Counsel and Compliance Program Chair for Neoforma, a public health care supply chain management outsourcer, from December 2000-March 2006, and the Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel for eCliniq, a provider of Web-based clinical solutions for heart care physicians, from July 1999-November 2000. Before joining eCliniq, he practiced corporate and health care law at several leading law firms, the most recent of which was Latham & Watkins from June 1996-June 1999. Mr. Phillips received a B.A. degree from Amherst College, magna cum laude, and his J.D. from Stanford University. Mr. Phillips is admitted to the California and Pennsylvania State Bar.
